Holiday Hakaros Hatov

What I feel grateful for this Thanksgiving:
  • Debbie, Ben, Shalom, and Shayna, and every day that God grants them (and me) continued life and health
  • Our inner circle of friends and family, who have somehow gotten us through these past six months, and have demonstrated beyond measure they will continue to be there for us over the long haul
  • Sandy, who gives us unconditional love as only canines can
  • Blogging, and the friendships that I made and strengthened thereby
  • The US of A; with all its imperfections, still the greatest (non-Judean) state today or ever
  • A four day weekend from the office, and more importantly, from my children's homework and tests
  • A holiday that I can celebrate with extended family, and without it being forbidden for me - or them - to drive home before, during, or afterwards
  • The 18-plus precious years that God granted Aaron, and his fully intact cognition, spirit, dynamism and wit through his very last hours
  • My mind's ability to distract and (almost) forget, at least for a little while
Happy Thanksgiving 2005... and many more to us all
