Happy 11th to My Super Girl

A happy birthday to my daughter Shayna, who turns 11 - going on 19 - today. Shayna shares this birthday with movie Supergirl Helen Slater, proof positive - as if we needed it - that Shayna's just super! And since she tends to have expensive tastes, I'm glad to see that J. Paul Getty has this birthday as well.

Shayna was my Chanukah/birthday present in 1995 - born a few days after the latter and a few days before the former. And here's a scary thought - five years from now, God willing, I'll be turning fifty the same month she'll become sweet sixteen! Better start planning the party now.
